Busy Bee with Spring Fever

I am so excited for all the buds showing themselves on trees, the sun is coming out more, the tulips are starting to act like they are thinking about coming out to visit. I love spring! New life, new hope, a new season. It gives life to the saying "Bloom Where You are Planted."

With our Busy Bees Quilt Group, we have so many fun things we've been doing, and so many more fun things to look forward to. Just in the last month, I've learned redwork embroidery and knitting! Next meeting, we will be making beaded earrings and necklaces and bracelets. How fun is that? We have several quilt shows coming up - future field trips. And the weekend of April 30 is quilt retreat weekend! I am SO looking forward to a weekend at the beach with my sisterhood of busy bees!

We are also working on several community service project. We have so many gifted and generous bees in our little hive community. Our hive thrives!

Quilt Retreat October 2008

We had so much fun at our quilt retreat. Great friends, lots of creative projects and tons of laughter made for a very relaxing & enjoyable time at the beach. A couple of my favorite moments: LOVED our long walks outside on the beach in the mornings and watching everyone pass out from a tiny glass of wine in the evening. What a bunch of wusses!
